Head & Shoulders Moisture Care

Head and Shoulders' has a new line called Moisture Care that is supposed to provide moisture and dandruff relief to "textured" hair, a.k.a kinky, coily, curly, and wavy hair. Textured hair usually requires more moisture from hair care products, and this line is supposed to provide that needed moisture. These products are infused with almond oil and coconut essence to induce healthy hair and scalp.

I used to use Head and Shoulders' original line when I was little to combat my constantly dry, flaky scalp. It worked, but it always left my hair very dry and stiff; that's why I'm glad they came out with this line. Now I can get rid of my dry, flaky scalp and not have to worry about dry, stiff hair.

-Conditioner washing is an alternative to shampooing and is ideal for textured hair. Shampoos can be stripping, drying, and harsh on textured hair, but co-washing cleanses hair while adding moisture.

-My Experience
I've never tried a co-wash before this one, and I'm pleased. It smells great and it's very thick and creamy. It leaves my curls feeling so moisturized, healthy, and somewhat clean. I don't have a problem with dandruff, but I do have a problem with dry scalp, and this seems to moisturize my scalp. I have to wash more often when I use this since I have fine hair so it will get weighed down with build up very quickly, but a clarifying shampoo every once in a while does the job. Overall, my hair and scalp looks great after using this.

-This 2 in 1 combines shampoo and conditioner into one bottle and provides both the benefits of cleansing, and conditioning.

-My Experience
I'm so glad I got to try this 2 in 1. First off, I wouldn't use it as a shampoo and conditioner; I would use it like a shampoo, and condition afterwards. I have fine, long, 3a/3b curls (if you're into curl typing) and I've been natural all my life. I know from past experiences that 2 in 1's don't really work for curly hair; there is conditioner in this, but it won't properly moisturize curly hair, but it's PERFECT as a wash (thanks to the added conditioner!). I've also always had pretty dry and flaky scalp, and the original used to help with that. I used to use the original head and shoulder when I was younger, and it always left my hair stiff and dry, but this 2 in 1 is my favorite product in the entire line.

The bottle is a good size and will last a long time, and the ingredients are decent; they could have added another oil to provide better moisture. The consistency is creamy and slippery, but it has a very nice, rich lather. It smells very good and it will linger for a while. When I wash with this, it doesn't tangle my hair like other shampoos do, and it doesn't leave my hair stiff or dry. After using this, my hair is is still soft, moisturized, and it removes all the product buildup leaving my hair clean. It also leaves my scalp feeling very clean and moisturized, and my scalp won't get dry until it's time for wash day.

Overall, this works as a great clarifying and moisturizing shampoo, and I love it.

-This scalp treatment provides the scalp with moisture. It has a cooling and soothing effect on scalp.

-My Experience
This scalp soother does exactly what it says, it soothes my scalp. I've always had trouble with dry, flaky scalp and this helps with that problem. The spray nozzle makes it very easy to spray it directly onto the scalp, and it has a strong scent, thanks to the alcohol. I was worried that this would irritate my sensitive scalp and cause a psoriasis flare up, but it caused no irritations. Every time I spray this on my scalp I automatically start to feel that tingly, cooling feeling. It's very refreshing and soothing, and the feeling lasts a while. I can tell that this is invigorating and stimulating my scalp while adding moisture. My scalp will usually get dry and flaky the same day I wash it, but now my scalp won't get dry and flaky until wash day.
